Ali Once Upon A Time Comments Off on ‘Once Upon A Time’ Season 2: Six Big Spoilers That Will ‘Change Everything’

Hollywood Life shares some of the things we will be learning this season!

Who is Henry’s dad? Who is the Queen of Hearts? Before watching tonight’s all-new episode, find out what’s to come on ‘Once Upon A Time.’

Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) may be separated by two worlds on Once Upon A Time right now, but in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ginnifer reveals the lines of communication between the star-crossed lovers are about to open up! ”That’s going to change everything,” she says. And that’s not all!

The cast and crew also revealed five more game-changing spoilers, so read on for a look into the future of Once Upon A Time:

2. Prince Charming vs. Dr. Whale: Remember when Charming got over Snow’s one-night stand with Dr. Whale (David Anders)? Trick question; he hasn’t gotten over it — yet. “Charming eventually settles that score,” Josh reveals. Additionally, the show’s Oct. 28 episode, appropriately titled “The Doctor,” will reveal Whale’s fairy tale identity.

3. Belle’s identity crisis: There’s a good chance that dating Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle) is going to take its toll on sweet, innocent Belle (Emilie de Ravin). ”Whoever you’re with rubs off on you,” Emilie explains. “It’s going to be a struggle for Belle to keep herself who she is.”

4. Daddy issues: By the time season two is over, the show’s executive producers promise we will know the identity of Henry’s (Jared Gilmore) father.

5. The Queen of Hearts, unmasked: We’ll also find out the identity of Wonderland’s rotten royal, who we first met at the end of season one. Many fans, myself included, think there’s a very good chance it’s Cora (Barbara Hershey). It doesn’t totally gel with the show’s timeline, but then again, aren’t we operating on three timelines anyway?

6. New in town: We’ve seen what happens when fairy-tale characters try to leave Storybrooke, but what happens when an out-of-towner (possibly accidentally) stumbles into Storybrooke? We’ll soon have our answer!

Ali Articles & Interviews, Once Upon A Time Comments Off on ‘Once Upon a Time’: Barbara Hershey talks Snow White and Emma dropping in

Barbara Hershey who plays Cora on Once Upon A Time spoke with Zap2It about Cora and about Snow & Emma dropping in unexpectedly to the Enchanted Forest. She talks about Cora’s feelings for Regina.

Barbara Hershey has returned to “Once Upon a Time” in Season 2 as Cora, the manipulative mother of Regina/Evil Queen, and we just saw Cora meet up with her step-granddaughter Snow White and step-great-granddaughter Emma in Fairytale Land.

She tells Zap2it that this Sunday’s episode, titled “The Crocodile,” will pick up right where that left off and that we’ll find out in bits and pieces what happened to Cora after Regina banished her into the Magic Mirror.

“You find out some. [laughs] Eventually we’ll find out everything that’s happened to Cora,” says Hershey. “When they’ll reveal it, I’m not sure. I’m only a few episodes ahead of the audience, so I’m finding out myself as we go along.”

As for finding herself trapped with Snow and Emma, Hershey can’t say exactly whether they are adversarial or finding themselves in an uneasy alliance, but she says they’re all very leery of each other.

“I’m very protective of my daughter … if my daughter dislikes [Snow White], then I probably am cautious of her too,” Hershey says. “I can say both Snow and Emma are cautious about Cora, that I can certainly say.”

Speaking of her relationship with Regina, Hershey explains that while Cora may be pretty outrageous, it all comes from a place of love for her daughter.

“She does love her daughter. You’ve seen these mothers who guide their children into areas they don’t want to go because they think it’s best for them and it’s not really about the child’s happiness at all. Cora’s a very extreme and warped version of that,” says Hershey.

And Cora certainly is proud of Regina turning to magic, just like she herself did.

“She has always wanted that for Regina,” says Hershey. “She truly believes that magic is power and power is freedom … If there’s anything redeeming about her, as warped as she is and as evil as she’s become, she does love her daughter. That’s the one crack in her soul that still is soft, even though her reactions to it are completely outrageous.”

The show has explored how Cora’s relationship with Regina really changed Regina from the sweet, young girl she was to the Evil Queen we know — and Hershey hopes they explore what made Cora the way she is, too.

“I think the writers have always said that evil isn’t born, it’s made, so if we follow that line of logic, then whatever happened to Cora in the past turned her at some point,” says Hershey. “I always feel that way when I play a difficult person. I always feel like a defense lawyer because you try to find this place of empathy and figure out what changed them. I’m sure something happened to Cora and hopefully we’ll get to see that.”

Ali Magazine Comments Off on Entertainment Weekly – This week’s cover: ‘Once Upon a Time’ plans a wild ride

Ginnifer is on the cover of the new Entertainment Weekly coming out on Friday along with her co-star Josh Dallas. The story is a feature on Once Upon A Time. Be sure to get your very own copy!

In this week’s Entertainment Weekly, we take Once Upon a Time showrunners Edward Kitsis and Adam Hororwitz to Disneyland as we get the scoop on the ABC hit’s second season and beyond. While checking out Walt’s traditional versions of Once‘s iconic characters like Snow White and Sleeping Beauty, the writer-producers reveal how their gleefully revisionist fairy tale series will become the ultimate TV mashup of wildly different people and locations from various fictional sources — not unlike the park itself. Fairy tales were just the beginning.

“It’s like when you were young and had Star Wars figures and you mixed them with G.I. Joe,” Kitsis says. “Cobra and Darth Vader might not have known each other, but they do in my backyard. We’ve taken the principle of being 12-year-old boys and we’ve brought it to primetime.”

This Sunday that means the eagerly anticipated introduction of a sexy young Captain Hook. But the following week expect Once to journey to a new world unlike any we’ve seen before on the show. Plus, producers will eventually take Once characters to the Land of Oz and introduce their version of the Little Mermaid. And after bringing in Mulan and Lancelot this year, producers are not ruling out figures from other genre-bursting non-fairy tale sources (like, say, Moby Dick, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, and Tron).

But as more characters join this primetime backyard fantasyland, the stakes are raised for the show’s original cast of Disney icons. One beloved Once character narrowly escaped getting killed off last season, and showrunners hint that not every fan favorite on the show will have a happy ending. “We don’t want to panic anyone, but the stakes have to be real,” Horowitz says. “We’ve pushed the envelope with these characters and what we’ve done so far is just the beginning.”
