The pair sparked rumours of a romance after attending a show together at the Bellagio hotel on Friday night.

And they were spotted getting intimate again on Saturday when they headed to Prive in Planet Hollywood.

An eyewitness tells OK! magazine, “They were kissing and hugging the whole time. They made out passionately in their personal booth… Ginnifer beamed from ear to ear as Joey caressed her. They never left each other’s side.”

Goodwin was recently romantically linked to her He’s Just Not That Into You co-star Justin Long, and previously dated American Pie actor Chris Klein.

“Barbie’s very empowering and my inner feminist is really very proud of our Barbie culture,” Goodwin said. “She does have a rather tiny, unrealistic waist but she’s a doll and you know the thing about Barbie that I’ve always found very inspiring is she was fashionable and could have a fella if she wanted and sometimes she did, sometimes she didn’t and any career of her choosing. So if she was affluent it was due to her successes and especially for a doll that premiered in the 1950’s that’s pretty admirable that’s pretty incredible.”

The producers of the polygamy TV drama Big Love have apologized ahead of time for any offence to Mormons caused by an episode that depicts a sacred religious rite.

The HBO cable series stars Bill Paxton as the owner of a chain of hardware stores who is married to three wives, played by Jeanne Tripplehorn, Chloe Sevigny and Ginnifer Goodwin.

The fictional family is non-Mormon but the series will show an endowment ceremony in a Mormon temple on its March 15 show.

The Mormon Church, officially known as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS), only allows selected individuals and members in good standing to witness such a ceremony.

News of the episode has angered many Mormons, who have called for a boycott of the network and calls to cancel subscriptions to AOL, part of the Time Warner Inc. conglomerate that owns HBO.

The network released a statement late Tuesday to address the outrage.

“It was not our intention to do anything disrespectful to the church, but to those who may be offended we offer our sincere apology.”

Used ex-Mormon as consultant on show

Creators Mark V. Olsen and Will Scheffer told TV Guide the episode will take place in an endowment room and the celestial room of a Mormon temple. They said they thoroughly researched the ritual and used an “ex-Mormon consultant.”

The two say the ceremony — in which participants move to a higher level of understanding of their religion — has never been depicted on screen.

The Mormon Church has previously voiced fears about the series, which launched in 2006. In a release, it says it feels a betrayed by HBO.

“Despite earlier assurances from HBO, it once again blurs the distinctions between the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the show’s fictional non-Mormon characters and their practices. Such things say much more about the insensitivities of writers, producers and TV executives than they say about Latter-day Saints.”

The church did not call for a boycott but did say that individual members could do what they wanted.

The church says more Mormon themes are being knitted into the show’s plots and Mormons tend to be portrayed as self-righteous and unsympathetic.

The Mormon Church, based in Utah, has some 13.5 million members around the world.

Founded in 1830, it officially banned polygamy in 1890. But polygamy is still practised by some breakaway sects.

Dating is hard. Even if you’re an adorable actress with lashes thicker than the September issue of Vogue.

“I’ve heard things coming out of my mouth recently, while flirting — not with anyone in particular — that should be on Saturday Night Live, they’re so embarrassingly ridiculous. It’s something I haven’t done in years,” Ginnifer Goodwin says. “I’m so out of practice. I’m trying to get out of my own comfort zone.

“I’m a homebody and a workaholic, but I promised my grandmother I’d get out more. She said I’m not going to meet ‘the one’ at my house.”

At least Goodwin, 30, can live out some of her romantic travails on screen. In He’s Just Not That Into You, Goodwin’s Gigi is a high-strung, insecure single girl who is desperate for a boyfriend but looking for him in all the wrong places and reading all the wrong signs.

“Gigi is the closest I’ve ever come to playing myself. I’ve never been interested in playing someone so like myself. But I fell in love with her,” Goodwin says.

She sees some of Gigi in herself, and she sought to play the character as honestly as possible.

“I humiliate myself on a daily basis. I have been known to Google-stalk. I’ve certainly caught myself flirting in such a way that I feel nauseous afterward when I think of what I said. And I’m so guilty of the long linger.”

Her romantic foil is played by Justin Long, one of Goodwin’s closest and most platonic of friends. The two met nearly a decade ago in New York while shooting the series Ed, and they have kissed on screen before, but they had a hard time making chemistry happen during one pivotal scene in this film.

“I’ve known Justin for eight years. He’s like my brother. It was the most loving and hysterical set. I’ve gone home with him for Thanksgiving. We’ve never dated or contemplated dating,” she says. “But during that hallway scene, our bodies truly rebelled. We had stomach gurgles and belches and uncontrolled giggling.”

In real life, Goodwin is single after a two-year relationship with actor Chris Klein that ended last fall. Single ladies, Goodwin feels your pain when it comes to witty banter with the opposite sex.

“There’s an art to it, and I’m not an artist. I need to be OK with the fact that I’m not sultry and I’m not good at the game and just hope that like Gigi, I find someone who respects me for who I am.”

It’s a big year for the 2001 graduate of Boston University’s theater school, who played Johnny Cash’s first wife in 2005’s Walk the Line and a lovelorn schoolgirl in 2003’s Mona Lisa Smile. On the small screen, she’s also starring in the third season of HBO’s Big Love. Goodwin’s Margene, the third and youngest wife of polygamist Bill Henrickson, started out as his kids’ babysitter and eventually became the family’s third sister-wife.

“I think I’m Margene’s opposite,” she says. “I find the greatest, most stimulating challenge in stepping into someone else’s skin.”
