Playbill.com shares that Ginnifer will be making her LA Stage Debut this summer!
The Big Love actor will make her Los Angeles stage debut in Nick Payne’s drama.
Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse announced that Ginnifer Goodwin (Once Upon a Time, Zootopia, Big Love) will make her L.A. stage debut in its upcoming production of Constellations. The two-hander, penned by Nick Payne, was staged on Broadway in 2015 starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Ruth Wilson.
The Geffen has not yet announced who will star alongside Goodwin. The production will be directed by Giovanna Sardelli and will begin performances June 6 in the Gil Cates Theater. An official opening night is set for June 14 for an engagement scheduled through July 16.
Constellations is an exploration of cosmic collision; the play tells the story of Roland, a beekeeper, and Marianne, a quantum physicist, and asks: what are their odds of falling in love?
“With infinite moments that can change the trajectory of a life, it’s anyone’s guess how cosmic collision is possible,” read production notes from the Geffen. “[Constellations] is a charming, devastating and profound exploration of the universal truth of finding and losing love. A play that balances on the question of ‘what if’ is, at its core, a poignant picture of ‘what is.’”
Tickets are available in person at the Geffen Playhouse box office, by phone at (310) 208-5454 or online at geffenplayhouse.org. The Gil Cates Theater at the Geffen Playhouse is located at 10886 Le Conte Avenue, Los Angeles.
